Global energy demand will nearly double in the next 30 years. To meet that demand, we must diversify our energy sources. The amount of energy stored in waves is enormous, enough to power every U.S. household, twice over. Unfortunately, the ocean is a violent place, so wave energy is difficult to capture. Researchers are developing devices that are cost effective, efficient, and able to withstand a battering from the ocean.
